Century Cricket is a global firm building automated cricket training centres across the world. In partnership with Stancebeam, a leader in cricket technology spanning sensors, smart devices, and automation, the ambition was to create fully connected, data-driven training environments. Together, they are setting up smart centres that combine automated slot booking, controlled entry, and real-time performance feedback—bringing structure, scale, and intelligence to cricket training.

Designing the Experience

Locomotive worked on designing the digital products that power these centres—ensuring that advanced technology feels intuitive and accessible to players of all levels. The challenge was to translate complex cricket data, automation, and workflows into interfaces that are simple, fast, and reliable in real-world sporting environments.

Product 1: Tablet App at the Centre

The tablet app sits at the physical centre and acts as the operational control layer. Players log in, start sessions, and connect directly to lanes and machines. The system routes sessions correctly, manages availability, and ensures smooth handoff between booking, entry, and play. Designed for shared, on-ground use, the interface prioritises legibility, feedback, and error-free operation.

Product2: Customer-Facing App

The customer app is the primary interface for players and members. It allows users to book training slots, reserve lanes, and schedule coaches with ease. Clear session visibility, confirmations, and participant management make it simple for individuals and groups to plan their training. The interface is designed for speed and clarity—so users can focus on playing, not navigating the app.

Together, these products form a tightly integrated system—bridging digital booking, physical infrastructure, and performance analytics. The result is a scalable, tech-enabled training platform that sets a new benchmark for how cricket is practised, measured, and improved across the world.
